PARK HEIGHTS AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMMUNITY LAND TRUST PILOT TO MOVE FORWARD

The New Park Heights CDC, Inc. is proud to announce that its long-awaited CLT Pilot Project gets the okay to move forward.

The project includes the acquisition of up to 40 houses in the Park Heights community and development in the surrounding areas.

The project is supported by Park Heights Renaissance, Councilwoman Sharon Green Middleton and the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development.

Will Hanna, Chairman/CEO of The New Park Heights CDC, Inc and Interim Director of the Park Heights Community Land Trust: “This partnership is an opportunity for legacy residents and new residents in Park Heights to experience affordable homeownership. This has been a long time coming but we stayed the course and now the Park Heights community can add this to the great work being done by our collective efforts. As we work collaboratively with our community partners, we look forward to great works ahead.”

The Pilot will also create dozens of long-term jobs for Park Heights and Baltimore City residents with the lion share of the work being done by minority contractors.
