From the archive: the sort of tiny bottle that raises very large questions. 🧪

A good magical object should arrive with a story, a secret, and just enough bad judgment to make you touch it anyway.

What would you keep in this bottle?

Bring that curiosity to your next gathering. Vince Wilson Magic is available for private bookings.

Vince Wilson here. I recorded a card trick yesterday, and you can try it today. 🃏

Think of any card. When I count to three, say it out loud. Then watch the card in my hand.

It works once per person, so turn the sound up, find somewhere quiet, and make it count.

From the photo archive: my "I know what you're thinking" face. Also useful when I've forgotten why I entered a room. 🎩

What would you ask a mind reader? Keep it interesting. I already know about the missing socks.

Bring Vince Wilson Magic to your next gathering. Ask me about a private performance.

Houdini spent thirty years proving that locks fail and the dead stay put. Not everyone agreed with him. 🎃

Sept 29, 8 pm. Greenmount Station, Hampstead. Thirty seats, which means there is no back row to hide in. Dave Thomen opens with Houdini Halloween, fresh from Appleton. My first time headlining this room. Come early, eat first, then find out how well your certainties hold up.

Bizarre magic has a reputation problem. Too often it gets represented by performers who mistake gloom for depth. Vince Wilson has spent 25 years proving it can be better: theatrical storytelling magic built on real folklore, original creations, and craft. Inner Circle in London, Chicago Magic Lounge, with credits on PBS, Discovery, National Geographic, and Travel Channel. His Substack shares what actually works in this challenging genre. Plenty of free articles to read now, and a 7-day free trial if you want everything. 🎭 Link in comments.
