Kiya's Bandon Seaside Escape

Kiya's Bandon Seaside Escape Sport Chalet is a vacation rental located on the west side of Bend Oregon. The apartment is close to Location, location, location! Well stocked kitchenette.

Spacious and bright with lots of privacy. Very comfortable beds and living room. Cable TV and internet access included. Futon in living room folds out for a third bed. North facing patio opens to trees and a nice view to hang out or dine when the whether is nice. Easy access to hiking and mountain biking trails as well as Mount Bachelor. and and tools available for working on your bike. Ride out the door to Bend's famous Phil's Trails! If you're coming to ride, please let us know! The large backyard is fenced, shaded and mostly dog proof. The house backs up to Skyliners Rd which is a semi-main thoroughfare and does get some traffic and thus traffic noise but in the evenings is usually pretty quiet. Guest Access

We try to make ourselves available for questions about the area to make your stay more interesting. We are flexible and are always open to interaction with guests. We're always interested to meet new people and here about your travel adventures. We are happy to set up activities for a small fee or just point you in the right direction. We mountain bike, road bike, hike, ski, flyfish and like good food, wine and beer so if you need some company let us know! The Neighborhood

This is a quiet neighborhood with lots of open space and hiking and walking trails just out the front door. There is a great dog park just around the corner. Walk or ride to town or nearby pubs and restaurants. Getting around

The best way to get around Bend is by bike or car but there are also taxis available. You can also walk to the nearest restaurants, breweries and pubs in about 5-10 minutes and downtown in about 20 minutes. Other Things to Note

Perfectly located for your mountain biking or road cycling vacation. 2.5 miles from the famous Phil's Trail Head. You can ride to the trailhead on paved and dirt bike path. Phil's offer miles of trails for every ability level! There's also several great road riding loops just out the front door.

There’s something I love about wandering down the Oregon Coast and finding the little spots doing their own thing with seafood. Gold Beach came through this time with Barnacle Bistro and these wasabi fish tacos that looked innocent enough… until they lit me up like a lighthouse. Full sinus reset. Unexpected, but honestly kind of perfect! 😝

That’s the charm of coastal food hunting: small towns, fresh fish, and dishes that surprise you in the best way.

Exploring the tidepools at the base of Haystack Rock in Bandon OR gives you a front‑row look at the coastline’s ecology — sea stars tucked under ledges, anemones clustered in the pools, and mussels gripping the rock face where the waves break. Low tide exposes an entire micro‑habitat that’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention, and it’s one of the most accessible spots on the southern Oregon coast to see these species up close.

Eating fish and chips on the Oregon Coast is one of those simple joys for me that never gets old. I've been loving fish and chips here since the early 70's and every town has its own take, and with around 175 places serving fish and chips up and down the coastline, half the fun is figuring out which ones are actually worth stopping for. Some are legendary, some are surprises, some… well, you learn and move on. But sitting outside with crispy fish, hot fries, a cold drink, and the ocean right there, that’s the kind of moment you remember.

This particular plate was served up by 7 devils waterfront Alehouse on the bay in Coos Bay. The rockfish was battered up perfect and had a nice light crispiness. The fries were excellently tasty. The tartar sauce (extremely important) was some of the best I've encountered! Washing it all down with 7 Devils own Arago Amber was the icing on the cake. I had the lunch size portion which didn't include slaw so that would be my only complaint!

This was crazy! I've never seen this many pelicans in one place! When we got to the beach (in Bandon) they were all along the shoreline for a hundred yards with dozens diving for fish. Something was going on and it was incredible to watch!
