✨🏡 Behind the Name at The Tarratine Inn ✨
Every room tells a story—each one honoring an incredible woman from Maine’s history 📖🌲💫
👑 Room 3A – Queen Jr. Suite | Magyar Isaacson Room
Named for Judieth Magyar Isaacson (1925–2015) 🇺🇸✨—a true pioneer 💪
a Holocaust survivor, trailblazing educator, and inspiring community leader. Deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II, she endured eight months of imprisonment and the devastating loss of family members before beginning a new life in the United States.

Married to a U.S. Army intelligence officer, Judith went on to leave a lasting impact in higher education—becoming the first female computer science professor in 1968, dean of women in 1969, and dean of students in 1975.
