Named for Judieth Magyar Isaacson (1925–2015) 🇺🇸✨—a true pioneer 💪
a Holocaust survivor, trailblazing educator, and inspiring community leader. Deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II, she endured eight months of imprisonment and the devastating loss of family members before beginning a new life in the United States.

Married to a U.S. Army intelligence officer, Judith went on to leave a lasting impact in higher education—becoming the first female computer science professor in 1968, dean of women in 1969, and dean of students in 1975.

Highly recommend this beautiful inn with great hospitality. Choose the dine and stay package for my husband’s birthday. Dinner was 5-star in the adjacent, also historic, restaurant.

High quality inn and best lodging in Bangor

We were completely impressed with the Tarratine Inn. A very high quality inn. We were met with gracious hospitality by Bob, the innkeeper, and everything about the experience was wonderful. The incredible restaurant right next door adds to the wonderful experience. The best in Bangor and wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
