What an inspiring day on the Bar Harbor waterfront! 🚴🇺🇸
On June 11, retired U.S. Coast Guard Vice Admiral Manson K. Brown completed an incredible 2,170-mile solo bicycle journey from Key West, Florida, to Bar Harbor, Maine, raising more than $25,700 for Coast Guard Mutual Assistance—an organization dedicated to supporting Coast Guard members and their families during times of need.
The celebration brought together Coast Guard members, veterans, families, and supporters at the Town Pier, just steps from the Bar Harbor Inn, to welcome Vice Adm. Brown as he crossed the finish line after 42 days and more than 2,000 miles on the road.
Following the celebration, we were honored to host Vice Adm. Brown, his wife, and the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance team for a traditional Maine lobster bake lunch at the Bar Harbor Inn.
We were honored to be part of such a meaningful occasion and to witness the dedication, resilience, and generosity behind this remarkable journey. Congratulations to Vice Adm. Brown on an extraordinary accomplishment and thank you for your continued support of Coast Guard families.
