A luxury bed-and-breakfast inn secluded in 42 acres atop the Baraboo Bluffs with an extraordinary, 36-mile vista of the Lake Wisconsin valley to Madison, Wis. This modern villa is between Devil’s Lake State Park and Devil’s Head Resort, and adjacent to the 1,900-acre Riverland Conservancy Merrimac Preserve. Ideal for romantic getaways and inspiring business retreats, we offer four, richly appointed guest rooms with full, private baths. Fall is putting on a show right outside the Bird's Nest windows this week.

This southwest corner room catches the afternoon light, the best of the color change, and a panoramic view of the valley below. Prints from Wisconsin wildlife artist Owen Gromme line the walls.

It’s still mostly green around the Inn today, but over the next few weeks the gardens and surrounding Baraboo Hills will begin looking a lot more like this.

Fall is one of the best times to be here, especially once the color starts moving across the bluff. If you’ve been thinking about an October stay, it would be wise to start looking at dates soon. 🦉

A lot of the character of Wawanissee Point is built right into the Inn.

Much of the oak work throughout the building was handcrafted by Trudy’s father, a Bavarian master cabinetmaker, with additional work by Dave’s brother.

Look around, and you’ll see it in the stairways, columns, cabinetry, trim, and other details throughout the common areas.

It’s one of those things that becomes more noticeable the longer you’re here: this wasn’t a building filled with off-the-shelf finishes. Much of what you’re looking at was made specifically for the Inn.
