Behind the scenes of our SECOND photoshoot this weekend at The Crimson Cocoa Chalet! 📸😅

First up: family/lifestyle photos with Colleen. Second: professional Airbnb photos with Joe!

And if you know me, you KNOW I don’t mess around when it comes to picture day. 😂 The cleaning, the staging, the fluffing, the rearranging, the making of approximately 500 beds… HIGH STRESS, HIGH EXPECTATIONS. 🫠

And because apparently nothing can ever go smoothly around here, this entire week felt like one giant rain cloud. ☁️

It started with a dreaded 4-star review ⭐️✂️ Then came the great landscaping massacre of 2026 (if you missed that saga, go check our recent post about the landscapers being a little TOO “in the zone” 😭🌸).

BUT the hot tub FINALLY arrived! ♨️👏 We survived the weekend, got everything picture-perfect, including all 3 bunk beds 🫠

Only for it to POUR during our entire real estate photoshoot. 🌧️😂 No drone shots, no beautifully staged deck, just rain, rain, and more rain.

SOOOO… what do we think? Can professional photography work its magic even on the gloomiest of days?! 🤞🏻📸

Because after the week we’ve had, these pictures BETTER be worth it. 😂❤️

We checked out the Trail of Terror in Jackson, NH, and WOW! 👻🎃 So well done, so much fun, and definitely worth adding to your Halloween plans!

But don’t let the haunted forest scare you away! 😂 Nestlenook is one of those places that’s beautiful year-round. ❤️

After a LONG day at Story Land with the kids, what better way to come home than to put them to work mulching the garden bed?! 😅😂

Should I have had the landscapers mulch this section too? Absolutely. But I’m poor 🤣 and figured we’d focus on the key areas for pictures and tackle the rest in the spring.

WELLLLL… turns out this IS a key area, so now I’m kicking myself. 🫠😂

The kids didn’t complain though, so at least I saved on labor! 🤣💪🏼

Nothing like a little child labor to wrap up a magical day at Story Land! 😵‍💫🥴
