The Colorado river winery has officially closed its doors as of the 25th. We want to thank everyone for all the support this past nine years. We will be at the winery working and will have the front and back door open. We have a limited supply of wine and we will be selling it all for $10 per bottle. If you see Any other retail items make us an offer. If you’r downtown, stop by say hello grab a couple bottles of wine. Christmas is on the way and she said she would get here by tomorrow. She said, go ahead and start whenever you want. She’ll catch up. Will be at the winery from noon until 3 PM today for those last minute bottles or to pick up a bottle of holiday dessert wine. Merry Christmas to everyone from the Colorado river winery.

Not sure if this is true, but if it is, it’s good trivia information. On ships they would stack the cannonballs on a tray made of brass called a monkey. The cannon balls are iron, and the tray is brass, which would shrink at a different temperatures. What would happen is as The weather got colder the brass tray shrink and the cannonballs would fall off and roll around the deck. So that’s where the saying comes from “ Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. “ again, not sure if that’s true and doesn’t have anything to do with wine but it’s a good story. Oh, and we’re here today from noon until 6 o’clock and tomorrow from noon until 3 o’clock. We have heat.

The temperature is dropping and it is cold. But as the end of the year approaches, we are here and we have heat. We will be here until 6 o’clock on Thursday, noon to 6 o’clock on Friday, and noon until 3 o’clock on Christmas Eve. Stop in.

SALE! SALE! SALE! We continue to close in on the end of the year, and Colorado River winery will be changing hands and the new Kana winery will be moving in and taking over. We are offering 25% off all merchandise from now until the end of the year. The winery hours for the next two weeks will be Friday 12/16 from noon until 4:30 PM Saturday 12/17 from noon until 6 PM, and Sunday 12/18 from noon until 4PM. We will be opening Thursday and Friday, 12/22 and 23 from noon until 6 PM closing early on Christmas Eve from noon until 3 PM. Stop by the winery and say hi and take advantage of the 25% off all items with the exception of wine.

Christmas is on the way and the winery is heading in to its final couple weeks as the Colorado River winery before it changes hands and becomes the Kana winery.
