When you come to stay at M Bar Ranches, you won’t just be booking a property — you’ll be welcomed by Joslynn and Bella themselves. As Papa’s granddaughters and the heart behind the Ranchito’s restoration, they are deeply involved in every guest’s experience. From helping you plan a relaxing girls’ weekend to coordinating your quail or dove hunt, they are your point of contact from the moment you inquire to the day you head home. Having grown up on this land, they know every trail, sunset spot, and quiet corner worth exploring. Their hope is that each guest feels the same sense of warmth, connection, and belonging that the Ranchito has always given their family.

The Ranchito is more than a place — it’s a living piece of our family’s story.

In 2013, our grandfather — lovingly known as Papa — purchased the Ranchito on a whim (and without getting prior permission from our grandmother, Honey). While she was upset at first, it didn’t take long for her to realize what Papa already knew: this land was something truly special.

Joslynn and Bella, Papa’s granddaughters, were both in junior high at the time, and the Ranchito quickly became an integral part of their upbringing. It became the backdrop for countless birthdays, weekends, and memories that shaped who they are today.

In early summer of 2025, Joslynn and Bella brought the idea of remodeling the Ranchito house to Papa. With his blessing, they got to work immediately, determined to honor both the land and the man who loved it so deeply. Papa was able to see nearly 80% of the renovation completed before he passed away in November 2025 — something the family will always cherish.

The home itself was thoughtfully curated to create a warm, cottage-style retreat, filled with antique European pieces that bring character, charm, and a sense of timelessness to every room. At the heart of the house is a gourmet kitchen designed for gathering — a place meant to be used, shared, and enjoyed.

Much of the work was done by Joslynn and Bella themselves. From hand-laying and designing Papa’s M Bar cattle brand into the bathroom tile, to helping mix and pour the concrete countertops, to using Papa’s original cattle brand to leave his mark on the front porch — their hands and hearts are in every detail.

Today, Papa’s legacy lives on throughout the Ranchito in both visible and subtle ways. This project was deeply personal, incredibly meaningful, and truly a labor of love. We are honored to carry Papa’s vision forward and so excited to share the Ranchito with y’all — a place rooted in family, craftsmanship, and memories meant to be made.
