After 7 amazing years of ownership/management of the Royal on Main we will be tranferring ownership/management at the end of the month of June. Stanβs career in food processing has relocated us to Alabama. While we are happy for this step in his career we knew we would not be able to manage the hotel well from such a great distance. We began praying over the decision to sell. A local Batesville family has made an offer on the hotel and we are now in the final stages of selling the hotel and building on Main Street. To say we will miss this part of our lives is an understatement. It has been a joy to talk with so many of our guests over the phone and sometimes meeting in person to learn what brought them to Batesville and how we could help them during there time visiting. We have LOVED all the unexpected experiences such a birthday celebrations, births of babies, weddings, family reunions, prom photos and vacations. And ached with those that came in for visits when loved ones were ill and others planning for a loved ones funeral. We have experienced so much life with our guests. We will miss this part of our lives. We know the next owners have great desire to continue the hospitality, care and attention moving forward. We want to thank everyone that was a part of this team during our 7 years from our amazing housekeeping team to maintenance workers to family and friends. We could not have done this without you! And most of all to the Lord for making a dream a reality 8 1/2 years ago when we walked through that building with a little bit of faith to build something special for Batesville and those visiting Batesville. We will miss you, Batesville.
