There’s something incredibly special about stepping away to gain perspective, inspiration, and connection — and last week in Montecito & Santa Barbara were exactly that. From conversations with planners, photographers, and filmmakers, to visiting the beautiful Montecito Orchard, I left feeling deeply inspired by the people who care so intentionally about hospitality, creativity, & experience.
One of the most surreal moments happened unexpectedly. 6 years ago, when I first purchased Greencrest Manor, a planner named Nancy from planned a wedding that ultimately had to move back to CA due to COVID. Out of everyone at the event she was the person sitting directly across from me at dinner. It felt like one of those full-circle moments that reminds you the world is both incredibly big & beautifully small. What also meant so much was hearing how many people across the country already know about Greencrest.
Being able to step away like this is something I don’t take lightly as there was a season in business where leaving felt impossible. This trip reminded me how grateful I am for the remarkable team & leadership around me now who make it possible for me to immerse myself in spaces that make me a better business owner & creative. Every time I travel, I come home with 10,000 new ideas (sorry team 😂), but also a renewed clarity & gratitude.
Grateful for inspiration, connection, full-circle moments, & that little Greencrest Manor is being talked about all the way in California 🤍Special thanks to Katie of for the invitation to your very exquisite event.
