MEET THE DRILL INSTRUCTORS OF CADET BASIC TRAINING 1

They arrive before sunrise. They leave after dark. They demand excellence, enforce standards, and set the tone for everything that follows.

These are the Drill Instructors of Cadet Basic Training 1, Training Mission 2026.

Their mission is simple: transform a group of teenagers into disciplined, confident young leaders who understand the importance of Respect, Integrity, and Pride.

Over the course of two weeks, these professionals will challenge recruits physically, mentally, and emotionally. Every correction, every standard, every lesson is designed to help our Challengers develop the self-discipline, resilience, and leadership skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Parents can rest assured that while the training is demanding, our Cadre are committed to providing a safe, structured, and professional environment where young people can learn, grow, and succeed.

Today we celebrate 251 years of service, sacrifice, and leadership by the United States Army.

Since its establishment on 14 June 1775, generations of Soldiers have answered our nation's call—serving on battlefields around the world, defending freedom, responding to disasters, supporting our allies, and standing ready whenever duty demanded.

From the Continental Army to today's modern force, the Army's legacy has been built by ordinary Americans who chose to do extraordinary things in service to our nation.

At Camp Liberty, we proudly honor that legacy and the values that have guided Soldiers for more than two and a half centuries:

Today we celebrate the Stars and Stripes—the enduring symbol of the freedom, sacrifice, and unity that define our nation.

For nearly 250 years, the American flag has flown over battlefields, schools, homes, ships, and communities as a reminder of the principles upon which our nation was founded and the generations of Americans who have defended those ideals.

At Camp Liberty, Flag Day is more than a date on the calendar. It is an opportunity to reflect on the values we strive to instill in every Challenger:

Libby officially reported for duty at the Camp Liberty Command Post in 2016 and has faithfully stood watch ever since.

For nearly a decade, Libby has greeted Challengers, Cadets, Parents, Visitors, and Cadre arriving at the heart of Camp Liberty operations.

While the Command Post serves as the center of daily activities, Libby stands as a symbol of the values we strive to uphold every day:

🌡️ IT GETS HOT IN ALABAMA. 🌡️

At Camp Liberty, heat safety is not an afterthought—it is part of our daily operations.

Throughout the training day, the Command Post continuously monitors WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) readings and issues Heat Category Announcements as conditions change.

These announcements help Cadre and Challengers adjust:

✅ Hydration
✅ Work/Rest Cycles
✅ Training Intensity
✅ Recovery Periods

Our goal is simple: provide a challenging, realistic training experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Parents can be assured that:

✔️ Heat conditions are continuously monitored
✔️ Water is available throughout training
✔️ Training schedules are adjusted when required
✔️ Medical Aid Station personnel are available on-site
✔️ Safety remains our first priority
