Miracles happen everyday and here is proof of it today! NCWRC will open the 2026 Flounder season for Inland Fishing Waters & in joint Fishing Waters for hook & line fishing only Sept. 1 - Sept 14th 2026. Go to the NC Wildlife Resource Commission website or page to see all details that you need to know to fishing legally in NC. ‼️

The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) will open the 2026 flounder harvest season for Inland Fishing Waters and in Joint Fishing Waters for hook and line fishing only, Sept. 1 to Sept. 14, 2026. The daily creel limit is one fish with a minimum size limit of 15 inches.
“We have worked closely with the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries to ensure that regulations match across jurisdictional lines. This will provide regulatory consistency and avoid angler confusion” said NCWRC Inland Fisheries Assistant Chief Ben Ricks.
According to a recent proclamation, N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries opened its recreational harvest season for the same two weeks, so the season, size limit and daily creel limit will be consistent across jurisdictions.

We have a floating kayak launch for an easier way to get out into the Bay River! You can use our kayaks (must sign a waiver and follow our rules) or you can use your own.

Tired of hearing “I’m bored” every weekend? Bring them to River’s Edge where they can ride bikes, play on the playground or basketball, go fishing, water slides on special occasions or kayaking and soon play in the pool (still under construction). Kids go to bed tired and parents go to bed happy! 😊 memories
