To our concerned and wonderful neighbors. There has recently been a post on Facebook regarding the Anchor Inn housing s*x offenders or other ex-convicts. The Anchor Inn does not and has never had a relationship with the Housing Preservation & Development Department of NYC. The persons in questions were placed in the Anchor Inn by the Red Cross of Greater NY without disclosure of whom they were. Upon seeing the social media posts of Diana Sacctrola and others early today, the ownership took immediate action and contacted the Red Cross of Greater NY to advise them that the Anchor Inn does not allow any such guests in it's property. Immediately thereafter, the persons in question were checked out of the Anchor Inn.

This statement has also been transmitted to Senator John Liu's office.

We sincerely apologize for any stress this may have caused our neighborhood and had proper disclosure taken place by the Red Cross of Greater NY from the beginning, the guests would never have been checked in.
