A “Once in a Blue Moon” event occurs on May 31, 2026, when the second Full Moon of the month rises—commonly known as a Blue Moon 🔵

A Blue Moon is the second Full Moon to occur in a calendar month -- typically, there's only one! It takes our Moon about 29.5 days to complete one cycle of phases (from New Moon to New Moon), so if a Full Moon occurs on the first of a month, there will be a second Full Moon—a Blue Moon—at the end of the month, too 🔵

Once in a Blue Moon the 31st May 2026.
Rare and beautiful, a Blue Moon reminds us that life can change in an instant. That new beginnings often arrive when we least expect them.

This Blue Moon falls in Sagittarius, the sign of truth, freedom, expansion and possibility. It reminds us that life is far bigger than the stories we tell ourselves. It asks us to be brave enough to dream again, and to trust our inner compass.

Because Blue Moons are uncommon, you may find yourself reflective, restless, clear sighted, or sensing a growing desire for change.

Find a quiet moment beneath the moon, or simply light a candle and settle somewhere peaceful. At the top of a blank page write:

“Once in a Blue Moon…”

Then complete whichever of the following prompts that resonate with you:

✨ What dream, desire or possibility have I been keeping on hold?

✨ What would I do if I trusted myself just a little more?

✨ What is one brave step I could take before the next full moon?

When you’ve finished, place your hand on the page and take a moment to acknowledge the wisdom you’ve uncovered.
