Steller Inn is proud of our owner, Callie, and manager, Maja, for taking on the Lost Lake Run once again! 🏔️🌧️

Running Lost Lake has become an annual tradition for these two, and even with plenty of rain this year, they had a great time out on the trail and added another Lost Lake finish to the books!

More importantly, this race supports an incredible cause, raising funds for cystic fibrosis research and bringing our community together to make a difference.

A huge congratulations to everyone who ran, volunteered, donated, and helped raise money for such an important cause. 💙

Callie and Maja are already looking forward to setting some new goals and seeing what races are next!

✨ Meet the Owners: Andy & Callie Bacon ✨

Steller Inn is more than a place to stay, it’s a family story that spans generations.

What began as an old trapper’s cabin along Clear Creek in 1979 slowly grew into the beautiful gardens and welcoming inn our guests enjoy today, thanks to the love and hard work of Andy’s aunts, Patty and Belinda.

Andy has been visiting Seward since he was a baby before making it his permanent home in 2006. In 2017, Andy and Callie were married right here on the property, a place that has always been close to their hearts. Three years later, they became the next generation of owners, carrying on the legacy of welcoming guests from around the world.

Today, they’re raising their two children, Eli and Iris, with the same love for this special place, and together they’re honored to continue the tradition that Patty and Belinda began.

In memory of Aunt Belinda, Andy and Callie proudly donate 1% of Steller Inn’s annual proceeds to support Huntington’s disease research, a cause that remains close to their family’s heart.

We’re grateful to be part of their journey and look forward to sharing more of the faces behind Steller Inn with you. 💙

Seasonal Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant

Steller Inn is looking for a reliable and hardworking team member to join us for the late summer season, approximately mid-August through mid-September.

✨ Pay: $25/hour
✨ Schedule: Monday through Friday, generally between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM
✨ Training: Must be available for one weekend of training prior to the start date

May in Alaska always feels like the beginning of something special, the first flowers blooming, birds singing, longer days, and the gardens slowly coming back to life. While some of these photos give a little glimpse of what’s still to come later this summer, the season is officially here and we can’t wait for everything to turn green and bloom again over the next few weeks.

As our summer season comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who visited us this year. We are especially grateful to our loyal return guests, this season we saw our highest return rate yet, and that means the world to us!

It’s been a wonderful and successful summer, and we’re so proud to share it with both new and familiar faces. We can’t wait to welcome you back when we reopen in May 2026.
