Lexington Inn is located 4 miles NE of Bedford, Iowa - adjacent to Lake of Three Fires, in beautiful rural Taylor County Iowa.

Full of quaint charm, the historical inn is used today for lodging visitors from all over for numerous occasions. Our web site is up and running so check it out too! The Lexington Inn was once a stage coach stop back in the 1850’s. Today the Inn is a completely remodeled 3 bedroom house with 2 baths, spacious living rooms, entry way, kitchen, outdoor patio area with BBQ grill & patio table / chair

s, and yard area with Adirondack chairs featuring a fire pit for cool evening gatherings. The Inn will sleep 10 people—4 queen bed and 2 singles. Amenities include: A/C & Heat throughout, fully stocked kitchen, French press coffee maker and regular coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, gas stove, washer/dryer, gas fireplace, direct TV, 5G high speed internet, USB connection in each bedroom, 4 queen size beds, 2 single beds, all linens/pillows furnished, hair dryers, shampoo/body soap and towels. Special arrangements can be made to use 3 kayaks/life jackets. The Lexington Inn is perfect for a family summer get away located within walking distance of the Lake of Three Fires, one of Iowa’s State Parks, or less then 10 minutes from downtown Bedford and within 30 minutes of Maryville, MO, Corning, IA, or Clarinda, IA. The Lake of 3 Fires offers: swimming, fishing, boating, walking trails, picnic areas, camping areas, equestrian park and trails and full enjoyment of 99 acres of beautiful nature. The Lexington Inn is also located next to the newest event venue in Taylor County, Deer Ridge at Lexington, making it a perfect place for additional lodging for wedding receptions or business events. Lexington Inn is also perfect for hunters who come to Southern Iowa during hunting seasons looking to take advantage of the excellent local game hunting we have to offer. At Iowa Lexington Inn, we’ve made it easier for families to travel light. No need to bring extra gear for your toddler or baby – we’ve got you covered! We now offer a Pak & Play infant/baby bed, a toddler bed (both complete with sheets included), and an adjustable height high chair. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll have everything set up and ready for your stay. 🍼🛏

The Perfect Blend of Style and Comfort in Our Game/Studio Bedroom 🃏🎲♟️🛏️ 🥱

At Iowa Lexington Inn, we love showcasing the stunning views of the peaceful countryside through the large windows in our game/studio bedroom. But we also know how important a good night’s sleep is—especially when those early morning rays peek in! 🌄

That’s why we made a thoughtful design choice: blackout curtains that can easily be slid across for privacy and light control. We’ve kept the drapes to one side so you can still appreciate the rich history in the moldings, while also enjoying a dark, cozy room when it’s time to rest.

It’s all about balancing style and comfort, making your stay as enjoyable as possible!

Out with the Old, In with the New – But Keeping the Charm! 🧱✨

Our old brick pathway had rich character, but it also had its fair share of tripping hazards and uneven spots. So, we called in the experts at Walston Concrete to help us create a safer, yet equally charming, walkway.

They listened to our request to preserve the classic look while ensuring it’s 100% safe for our guests. The new sidewalk is now smooth, level, and ready to welcome you—all while keeping that timeless brick charm.

We think it looks amazing, and we can’t wait for you to see it in person!
