We lost a dear friend this week.
Bob was a great man - his type of living should always be remembered and replicated- he was full of intelligence, love, laughter, integrity, and generosity.
This Tuesday we will honor Bob by raising a glass of red wine in his honor.
And in the spirit of Bob’s generosity to his community- half of every glass raised in his name (and all glasses of red wine - even if you don’t know) will be putting dollars in the jar for the Bedford County Chamber Foundation.
We will miss him always.

After long consideration, we decided to close the Pub on August 22 at 6:00 pm to celebrate Zillion Dollar Combo playing here at the Golden Eagle Inn!
Also, the drive way will be closed that evening to automobiles- parking will be available in the borough lot beside us or you can go around Knisley and Sons to park in our parking lot.
Can you tell we are very excited?!? We are shutting down (almost) everything so all of us can enjoy the band!
And - in more fun news- we are going to do a crab boil!
*Of course, if the weather is crap we will have to modify our plans.
But you heard it here first - Tom is closing the Pub on Saturday, August 22 at 6pm - and opening an outside bar (yet to be named) - and we will having an end of summer crab boil!
Please call and let us know you are coming so we can have enough tables and food for you all!

We didn’t get too many pictures of the America250PA - Bedford County parade - to busy waving our flags and filling our pockets with candy (Tom and I didn’t know it was going to be a “candy parade” so we didn’t bring a pail)….🤷‍♀️🤔😂 - our kiddos somehow managed thru!
Everyone involved did an awesome job (especially in this August heat) - thank you for making some wonderful core memories for our kiddos about living in a small town!
Personal Fav of the Parade: The County Marching Band! It was amazing!
