Building over your septic tank is never a good idea… Tanks need direct access for pumping, inspections, and repairs. Crawling under a house to reach one is nobody’s idea of a good time.

As a general rule, don’t build over your tank or within 5 feet of it. Easy access can save you a lot of money and headaches later on.

Unfortunately, this tank is in pretty rough shape and the homeowner will most likely be looking at a full system replacement soon

Septic alarm going off? Don’t panic—First, silence the alarm and reduce large water use immediately (no laundry, long showers, or dishwashing). If the alarm continues after a couple hours, it could mean there’s a pump problem. Give us a call right away—we’ll diagnose the issue and get your system back to normal before it becomes a bigger (and messier) problem.
