A huge THANK YOU to the many shop hoppers we’ve had these last three days, it’s been overwhelming. I’d especially like to thank those who took the time to look around and visit with us, even if you didn’t make a purchase. We made some lovely new friends, and we hope you will visit again. We’ve only had a few who have dashed in for a sticker, square and gift bag and then dashed out again. To those folks I would say, slow down, it’s not a race. There’s no prize for finishing your passport first, and you’re missing what this is all about. Who knows what wonderful things you’ve missed out on? Not to mention that we missed out on getting to meet you! To those who were able to find a little treasure to take home with you, “Thank you” doesn’t begin to say enough. You have given me hope. The two years of Covid were not kind to our little shop, and our future is pretty much riding on the success of this event, as I’m sure are the futures of many other stores.
To everyone, please don’t be upset because we ran out of fabric early. As Jen mentioned in another post, we had to order it months ago, and pay for it when it was shipped, before any of it was sold. It’s a guessing game of what will be popular, how much to get, and mostly, how much we can afford. That is why so many shops did pre-sales, we had to have some way of paying for it all. So take some time to look around in every shop you visit. You may just find that perfect piece that will finish the project that’s been relegated to the corner of the closet for the last year, or maybe you’ll find a new friend. You’ve got two months, enjoy the ride.
