Ohio Genealogy News (OGN) contest submissions are currently open until September 30, 2026.

Ohio Genealogical Society Quarterly (OGSQ) contest submissions will be accepted September 1 through December 31, 2026.

Just a heads up that the Saturday the Samuel D. Isaly Library is open in August has changed. It will be closed on Saturday, August 15, but open on Saturday, August 22 to help host the DAR American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit. A recording of the most recent OGS Saturday Showcase on streetcars and interurban railways in Northeast Ohio is now available on the OGS Website. Best wishes to Noel Poirier on his last day with OGS.

Noel became the Executive Director of OGS in July of 2021. We are most appreciative of his work, especially in increasing OGS brand visibility. He served as the host and voice of the Ohio Roots Podcast. He has been a valuable asset to OGS and will be missed. We wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future.
