Construction is underway on four new pedestrian bridges in Allegany County, helping reconnect sections of the trail and create a more continuous multi-use experience through our communities. The project represents a significant investment in one of our regionโs incredible recreational assets.
And trails are about more than recreationโtheyโre economic assets. Visitors who come to hike, bike, horseback ride, or explore our trails often stop for a meal, grab a coffee, shop locally, fuel up, or stay overnight. Those visits put dollars directly into our local businesses and communities.
With the Genesee Valley Greenway stretching 90 miles and connecting communities, parks, and other regional trails, investments like this help make Allegany County a destination worth exploring.
๐ Weโre excited to see this important project moving forward and look forward to welcoming even more trail users to Allegany County!
