As you probably all know Bethany Bible Camp sustained damage last Friday night as the whole Bemidji area got hit hard from the storms that went through. On Saturday up to 50 volunteers and skid steers along with flatbed trailers accomplished a major task in getting the trees moved out and cut up.
There has been major damage to one of the girl's cabins and roof damage on the chapel and the cafeteria, a girl's dorm and girl's bath house all need repair. We thank God that all campers and staff were safe in the bathrooms, the appointed storm shelters.
Even though the biggest trees have been removed, there is much to do in the areas of raking, clearing, roof patch and repair, to prepare the camp for the rest of the summer.
There will be a clean up day Saturday, June 28. Please come with your rakes, gloves and chainsaws as there is much to do. Come for hour or come all day. Starting time will be when you get to camp.
Our prayer is Exodus 36:5b "The people bring much more than enough for doing the work that the Lord has commanded us to do"
In the work of the tabernacle, the craftsmen were overwhelmed with resources, offerings, and people. This is our prayer for Bethany. May the work of the Lord be done!
If an individual or group from your church would like to come out to the camp and work, please call the camp phone number at 218-751-6094 and leave a message and Greg will get back to you.
