With the only bridge to our town knocked off its base by a wayward eyesoar, and a bayou turned to land from displaced marshlands, you have to get creative to get to work to save a family legacy.
With the help of a lot of good people, who had all of their own problems to solve. We got it done.
From the ride down the bayou, jumping floaton in the and nearly getting stuck on the mounds of floating land too unloading 400lbs of power into my neighbors to get power to the lodge as she stands tall amidst a sea of floodwaters driven into our community, the past few days have proven to be a formidable opponent. But I am thankful for the opportunity to grow stronger and face another challenge head on. These are the times where we show up not only for ourselves but for our community.
We still have a ton of work ahead of us but we still have a place to work on and a home to rest our aching bones.
We can’t thank everyone enough for all the help. No matter how big or small, your generosity has been a shining light in dark times.
Stay tuned for the progress as we reassemble our fair maiden of the bayou and re-introduce her to the world.
