An Overnighter to Mink Lake at the end of July.
Take the 6 lakes trail to reach the many high mountain lakes. Trailhead is just off the Cascade Lakes Highway, near Lava lake.
This was the First backpacking trip for Beatrice. She did great, but was eaten alive by mosquitoes. 😔

Ran this trail today to Winopee Lake. Only 700 feet of elevation gain over 6 miles. This trail would be a nice hike or run. Trailhead was just past the campground at Cultus Lake. Check it out while you are at the cabin.

We spent the day paddle boarding on the Deschutes River. The boat ramp and access to the river is one of the perks of the cabin.
The paddle boards were rented from Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe. The cost was $60 for 4 hours. This was plenty of time to enjoy the river.
