The Old St. Welcome to our Facebook community! This is a hub for conversation and sharing, but we do have some house rules.

Francis School, conveniently located in downtown Bend, was transformed from 1936 Catholic schoolhouse to a hotel complete with classrooms-turned-hotel rooms, a pub, brewery, a movie theater, private event spaces, live music and a soaking pool! Our hearts are with the Bend community as we navigate this heartbreaking time. We’re holding the students, families, educators, and everyone affected close in our thoughts.

In moments like these, we’re reminded of the strength, compassion, and love that make this community so special. Bend is showing up for one another, leaning on one another, and coming together when it matters most. There is so much love in this community, and we’re grateful to be a small part of it.

One of the things we’ve always believed in at McMenamins is the importance of neighborhood gathering places. To have spaces where people can connect, find comfort, and feel less alone. Now, more than ever, we’re reminded of how much that sense of community matters.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another, especially in the hardest moments.

Bend, we’re holding you close in our thoughts. ❤️

BIG NEWS IN B**R! Vance, our brewer from McMenamins Old St. Francis School, took home a silver medal for his Icy Fog Hazy IPA in the Juicy or Hazy IPA category at the Great American B**r Festival this past weekend! This category is the 2nd largest in the festival, so we're SO proud 🏆🍻

If you're looking to get your hands on a pint, there's a tiny bit left, and you can find it while it lasts at the Broom Closet. The last of it is being sent to McMenamins 23rd Avenue Bottle Shop. Vance will be brewing more this winter as it's a winter b**r, so we'll keep you posted when it comes back!

Two bands, two rooms, one very good Halloween plan. 👻🎸

Old St. Francis School is bringing the party with Dad Bods in the Theater and Brother Gabe’s Flashback to ’76 Band in Father Luke’s Room. One ticket gets you into both shows, so you can bounce between the bands all night long.

Some people turn their hobbies into side hustles. We turned ours into b**rs that stock our taps. 🍺

Add good food, unique art, and historic buildings with a lot of intruige and we now have a place that welcomes the neighborhood.

That's a pretty successful hobby.

This is not your average movie theater. 🎬

The Old St. Francis Theater is tucked inside the former parish hall of the old Catholic school, with overstuffed chairs and couches instead of traditional theater seats.

And here’s the best part: your food and drinks are delivered right to your seat. 🍕

Honestly, it’s just a really cool place to see a movie.
