HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL! HAVE A BLESSED AND LOVING DAY!

Have not been posting for awhile because we have been busy restoring a commercial building at 515 Broad St., here in Bennettsville, SC. We'll be opening soon! When you see our large oval sign out front and if the gates are open, please stop in to see us!

Temp is @ 51 degrees, heading downward to 32 tonight, yet that did not deter the blues and yellows to speak a welcomed hello this afternoon.

Purple & yellow irises, 'The Poets Wife', a David Austin repeat rose and pretty little garden violets I transplanted from another garden here at the Inn.

Much thanks to Van & Asher for refinishing and installing one of our Charleston, SC finds. I've needed this entry railing for my shop. A dream come true!

Limbs and vines with great shape fascinate me. Ask our groundskeeper, David. He simply rolls his eyes when I mention an interesting limb or vine I've spotted on our weekly debris piles, and questions what in the world I'll do with it. Suppose it's the design or inspiration of how I can use it?

Here, take a peek at our Kiwi Vine, most likely planted by a bird who borrowed its seed from our compost pile, some years ago. It has spun its way high into one of our old magnolias. Bonnie.

Strolled about our grounds a bit today, walking off our Thanksgiving dinner leftovers and enjoying mostly cool, sunny weather. My main focus was on Japanese Maples. They are beautiful year round, but come Fall season, they never disappoint and are so colorfully visible. Most of these were grown from seedlings with lots of love! I enjoy growing lovely Japanese Maples for so many reasons, though mostly because of their unfailing promise to color our world each year. It is one of many listed on my pages of gratefulness❣️

Our HOYAS have been blooming up a storm of color this spring and summer. I will be selling cuttings from various plants and rooting's from others...POTHOS and PHILODENDRON, whichever you may prefer.
Prices vary for HOYAS and others.

We also presently have twenty BROMELIAD FASCIATA tropical plants in bloom. The one pictured has the largest bloom we've ever had. It is gorgeous and is $20.00. I'll be happy to explain plant care details and answer any questions you may have about this long blooming, reproducing air plant species.
The other Bromeliad's are $17.00 each.
All Bromeliads produce a "pup" for next year's bloom.

Since we haven't yet opened ROOTED & GROUNDED ON EAST MAIN ST., I am open by appointment only. Please give me a call @ 843-479-3665, if you would like to call one of these plants your own.

It's Camellia time at Breeden Inn!
The Sasanqua Camellia is always the first to bloom during the Fall season and is the most delicate.
They are shrubs turned trees at one of our properties.
I have a Florida friend who LOVES Camellias. Sharon Strickland Singleton, enjoy!
