FYI Campers!

With the heat and humidity building through the rest of the week, the Shenandoah National Park will be a great place to find at least some relief with temperatures often running 10-15 degrees cooler than the surrounding valleys.

Reminder! Entrance to the park is free Friday through Sunday (July 3–5) for Independence Day Weekend.

The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) announced yesterday that approximately 588,000 walleye and 797,000 saugeye were stocked into waters across the state.

Both are known for putting up a good fight and being fun to catch.

For Shenandoah Valley anglers, the Shenandoah River received 20,155 walleye.
