As I arrive at Bentonville’s small downtown, the streets are criss-crossed with brick pathways shared by pedestrians and parents doing the school run on cargo e-bikes.⁠

The surprises continue as I enter the soaring blond-wood atrium of the Compton hotel, where I’m directed to a cycle concierge who can advise on routes or set me up with a group ride. ⁠

There is also a cycle valet so I can call down and have my bike ready to go whenever I need it. ⁠
⁠
I head up to my large, well-appointed room, which comes complete with a yoga mat and foam roller for stretching out tired post-ride legs."⁠
