Look up tonight. The sky is doing something cooler than your neighbor’s floodlight.
Deep partial lunar eclipse, Thursday night into Friday. Ohio times:
9:23 PM — it starts getting weird
10:33 PM — Earth’s shadow takes a bite
12:12 AM — peak. Rusty lantern with a white sliver
1:51 AM — partial’s over
3:01 AM — go to bed already
No glasses. No tickets. Just walk outside.
This is also why we tell people to shut their lights off when they’re not at camp or when they retire for the night. Not because we’re the fun police. Because a 400-watt porch light does not make your site safer. It just turns the whole row into a Walmart parking lot and ruins the one free show we didn’t have to book through the app.
Northern lights are a maybe (G1–G2 watch). For us that means possible faint glow on the north horizon, not the cartoon curtains. If you see green, take the picture. If you don’t, you still got a 96% eclipsed moon. Don’t @ maintenance either way.
Partly cloudy, so pick a gap. Dim it, sit down, keep the “holy crap look at that” volume after quiet hours.

Today we celebrate the pups who make life (and camping) better — the ones who steal the best spot by the fire, greet every neighbor, and somehow always know when it’s treat time.

This Place Sucks
Stop by the Lodge Friday for a loaded baked potato (or just the salad if you’re feeling virtuous). Then stick around for Bingo because nothing says “family entertainment” like yelling at numbered balls.
Saturday is chaos: Bocce, horses, guns, mini golf hole-building contest (get your masterpiece on the rec court by 10 AM or you’re just another spectator), ATVs, Beer School is back, and then Audiophile tears the place up from 8–11 with 80s/90s throwback rock.
Sunday we feed you again.
