Arkansas Free Fishing Weekend June 12-14, family fishing derbies June 13
LITTLE ROCK – Thanks to a proclamation by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders presented during Thursday’s Arkansas Game and Fish Commission meeting, June 12-14 is officially Free Fishing Weekend in Arkansas. Anyone may fish in Arkansas without a fishing license or trout stamp from noon, Friday, June 12, through midnight Sunday night, June 14.

Kings River Update - Come on in the water is great!

The Kings is flowing just above 6 ft.

Nice water level for experienced paddlers. Newer to kayaking or want a little more relaxed ride - wait a day or two.

Sunny and warm this week - great time for floating throughout the week.

I think Mother Nature saved the April showers for May this year. Be weather aware.

Reminder - this weekend is the Kings River Cleanup hosted by Kings River Watershed Partnership.

Kings River Update
Water is at 6.48 ft and slowly dropping. I would recommend experienced paddlers. Watch out for each other. Try not to paddle alone. Make sure to secure your belongings and I always advise wearing your PFD.

My river app just updated. Water has risen a decent amount from yesterday’s rains.
Weather still looks good the next couple days.

May 23 Update
Water level is looking great. Small chances for storms. Be weather aware. Remember to stop and pay parking and day use fees. Fee booth is at bathhouse - you cant miss it. Enjoy making memories with your friends and family.
