More paved biking and walking trails connecting Sun Up Chalet with the Iron Belle Trail.

HURLEY - The City of Hurley and ICORE have signed a contract to purchase 37 acres of abandoned Soo Line railroad land from Canadian National for a future trail between Hurley and Montreal.
The group has raised $70,000 toward the $175,000 purchase price and is working to secure the remaining funds before the planned November 2026 closing. The proposed 3-mile paved walking and biking trail would connect to the existing Iron Belle Trail, linking five communities across the region. ICORE provided a $10,000 deposit on April 15, when the City Council approved the sale contract.

Take your last runs as the last weekend of March comes to a close.

Friends, our last day will be this Saturday, March 28, 2026 - as the curtain drops on this season, let’s end it on a high note with good snow + fun in the sun ☀️

This Friday, we will have one final fish fry, and Saturday will be the last day on the snow. Come out and get some runs in before the last chair, and say “see you later” to your favorite Big Powderhorn places and people.

We hope to see you this weekend, and again next season - and remember, the Spring Season Pass Sale will end soon - so get your pass for next season now at the best available rate!

Dress for the weather, but great smomobile/trail conditions. Best n many years.
Sun Up Chalet is almost on the always groomed snowmobile trail. Walking distance to snow shoe and fat tire mountain bike riding trails.
