Part of our original plan for our time on the north island of was to hike to on the . Alas, part of the track is still damaged from a recent cyclone, so we joined Ash from for a trip to see it from the ocean, and had the best time!! Try as we might, photos and videos just don't do this part of the world justice! The video is of Whiskey Falls, also part of the experience.

New Zealand is amazing! We're blessed to be here, soaking in some of the prettiest places on Earth. The first picture is of Lake Taupo, the largest lake in the southern hemisphere. The second is Huka Falls, home to some of the bluest water we've ever seen!

Well, we'd hoped to post more pictures and keep the fun going, but Linda Morrison Cahill guessed correctly with New Zealand! It really is amazing here. We've been soaking up spring weather in the tropical areas so far, but tonight we're at Franz Josef glacier.

Now that the contest is over, we'll try to post more as we keep travelling towards Fiordland National Park. But for now, we'll leave you with a picture from the Coromandel Peninsula (the one with the mountain stream) on the north island, and one from Cape Foulwind on the western side of the south island.

Everyone meet Bubba. Who's Bubba you ask? Since we can't travel with our fur babies, we take Bubba with us instead...just so we aren't as lonely. So, why are we looking at a picture of Bubba in an airport? We thought we'd have some fun since we haven't posted anything in ages!

We are currently on holiday. Wait! You mean we actually take time off?! Not often, but yes we do...well we try to anyway! So where are we? Well, that's up to you to figure out, hence the fun we mentioned earlier. We are offering a free night in 2025 to the first person who correctly guesses where we are! What's the catch?? Well, we hate to do it, but Christmas through New Year's, President's Day week, and the last week of September through the end of October are not eligible, we hope you understand why. Also, several of you already know where we are...you know who you are...we know who you are...so please don't spoil it for everyone else!

So, when does the fun start? Well, we have TONS of pictures to choose from, and we don't want to give it away. To hopefully prevent date and time stamps on our posts from giving us away, posts will pop up at random times over the next 2 weeks. We'll post as time permits. The first person who guesses where in the world we are wins (bonus prize for correctly guessing our exact location)!

The time stamp of the first correct guess will obviously determine the winner. If no one guesses correctly after the first post, we'll create a second one. All new guesses should then be made in response to post 2. If no winner to post 2, we'll post a third one, then a fourth, etc. The contest will end at 11:59 PM EST on November 18, 2024. Once we have a winner, or when the contest ends, we'll post more pictures.
