It's time for another "Know Before You Go" moment. This time, Echo Lake Beach in Franconia Notch State Park. As with all NH State beaches and day-use areas, we had to change the way we operate in order to be open this summer. Here's what you need to know, before you go:

- Advance reservations are required and tickets are not sold at the beach. Go to: http://www.echolakebeach.com

- The beach has limited capacity each day and has been selling out in advance. As of the time of this post, 7/9 - 7/11 were sold out.

- Check back often online. You can cancel a reservation, and that does happen, freeing up reservations for a previously sold out day.

- Your reservation is good all day: 10am -6pm. Show up at any time and leave at anytime before 6pm. At 6pm, the beach is closed and cleared and access is not permitted for any reason between 6pm and 10am.

- Carry-in, carry-out. Come prepared with a bag to take your trash with you. Trash barrels are not provided.

- Pets are never permitted at any time at the beach, whether we are open or not.

Reserve online, come rent a boat and relax at one of the most scenic inland beaches in NH!

The ski area snow guns have been cranking out white gold all week, and now the MWOBS higher summits forecast calls for a significant winter storm starting the middle of next week...a multi-day snow event...yeehaa!
