BREAKING NEWS: Highway 38 Facing Closure as Wildfire Spreads Rapidly

BIG BEAR VALLEY, Calif. — Fire officials are preparing to shut down Highway 38 as a rapidly spreading wildfire continues to grow under dangerous conditions. Fire activity has intensified, prompting crews to reassess traffic access while firefighters work to protect lives and property.

Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area and be prepared for changing conditions. As the fire advances, additional road closures and evacuation orders could be issued with little notice. Strong winds, dry vegetation, and steep terrain are making firefighting efforts especially challenging.
