Punctuality and dependability are a must. This position is responsible to check guests in and out, take phone reservations, assist guest with problems and minor repairs. Assist the housekeeper and occasionally clean a room, assist with keeping the property well maintained. Evenings, weekends and Holiday's are required.

Not in a hurry to leave Big Bear Lake and the beautiful nature it homes? We suggest you take Highway 38 to Jenks Lake! It is a small lake and the fishing must be good because there were a lot of people fishing. They have barbecues and picnic tables to stop and have lunch before you head back to the city. Or take a walk around the lake (it was a little over 2000 steps). It costs $5.00 to park and it was well worth the entry fee. Nothing like saying one last sayonara to nature the SoCal mountains have to offer before heading back to the city.

Sometimes we need to take our time and not rush home. Go down highway 38 to the beautiful town of Redlands. Take Orange Street to the CVS parking lot, when you cross the orange street go to the right and you will see the little alley with the umbrellas. What a picturesque place for photo's! After all those photos have lunch some lunch! We went to Don Orange and we were so pleased. The food was outstanding and they had great margaritas. After a stroll up and down Redlands Blvd we stopped at the Candy Kitchen and had a wonderful cup of coffee. A very nice way to spend a couple of hours before getting on that freeway.

If you are looking for a quiet hike go to Onyx Summit on the 38. We walked the Pacific Crest Trail for about a 2 mile trek. It is an easy hike that you go as far as you want then turn around and go back. You can see the lake and snow covered mountains and find an abundance of wild flowers. Definitely the place to be if you have a love for nature this is the place for you to explore!

When you leave Big Bear there is no need to hurry home. Stop at Heaps Peak Arboretum it is a pull off on the way to Lake Arrowhead. It is a beautiful unmarked trail that is nearly one mile long. After enjoying this trail make a stop at the Village in Lake Arrowhead and try one of the Seasonal Cocktails made at The Lakefront Tap Room. The Philly fries are to die for! After all that take a walk at the lakefront and feed the ducks and walk through some of the fun boutiques.

It is been a beautiful start to summer up here in Big Bear Lake! Took a hike on the Alpine Pedal Path and couldn’t help but take pictures of the beauty that we are blessed with up here.

If you haven’t already made a trip up here. I highly suggest you do! This is one of the best summers we have had. Especially since our lake has filled up so much.
