The City is applying for competitive State grant funding to build a separated pedestrian/bike crossing over Big Bear Blvd (State Route 18), connecting the Rathbun Trail network on both sides of the highway. It would allow people walk, bike, and roll between neighborhoods, the food bank, bus stops, schools, shops, and recreation areas without crossing five lanes of traffic.⁠
