Highway 1 is officially open in both directions once again. Joining all who call this coast home, we offer our heartfelt appreciation to those who worked tirelessly to protect our neighbors and this iconic landscape.

With travelers now able to travel directly between Cambria and Carmel, we encourage all to wander mindfully, returning with gratitude for the community that makes destination so special.

We are honored to welcome guests back to Alila Ventana Big Sur beginning September 11.

As we reopen the resort and campground, our hearts remain with everyone impacted. We extend our deepest gratitude to the first responders, local emergency teams, agencies, and Big Sur neighbors whose extraordinary care helps to protect this place and its landscapes. Fire crews remain stationed along Highway 1 as this vital work continues.
