Being able to run n work at a fishing resort you get to meet a lot of people. Some of them become like family and it’s devastating when you here someone who has passed away. My first year I met Willie and his wife Holly. They became really close good friends. A few years ago this family had a nightmare. Their son was in a very bad accident but he survived. Unfortunately, this family got hit again but this time someone wasn’t able to stay with us. Our hearts and prayers are with you Holly and your son on the lose of your husband, Willie. Willie always so cheerful and always made me laugh. My first cast and catch is being dedicated to Willie. As I dedicate that to him I can just see him smiling now. Please let me know if you need anything.

Well good news n bad news.
Bad news Rustic corner has been sold. Good news former owners of Ed’s pit stop is opening a coffee shop. This shop will include coffees, teas, pastries, espresso, smoothies, signature drinks and bagels. They will be open way before our season starts. Stacy (former owner of Ed’s pit stop) has expressed that she is excited to be able to chat with the customers and get to know more folks.

Hello everyone as it’s getting closer to Christmas there are others out there who need a little extra help. We will miss the deadline since we are not open but we can put the donation for next year. As you go thru your Christmas decorations, if you have extra lights, ornaments etc that you no longer need or want there are families in Birchwood who could use the extra help. If you could put them aside and bring up with you next season it he greatly appreciated.

Cabin 7
Two bedrooms. One bedroom has a full size bed the second bedroom has three twin beds. Futon is in the living room. We supply the linens for all the beds including the futons/sofa beds.
Each cabin has a full size shower and refrigerator.
Dalen’s supplies toilet paper, coffee filters (drip coffee maker) , dish soap, garbage bags and bath rugs. We have some openings and some discounts going on for the 2023 season.

A very proud time for the Abott family. Hunter has been coming to the resort in a long time. This young man loves to fish n spend time with his family. He is always respectful and willing to help out. His family and Dalen’s resort are so proud of this young man. Congratulations Hunter you are going to go far.
