Roads open: McGee Creek Rd., Rock Creek Rd. to the Snow Park, Hwy 168 to Aspendell, South Lake Rd to Bishop Creek Lodge., White Mountain Rd., snow, travel at own risk, Silver Canyon Rd. (4x4-high clearance expect snow), Wyman Canyon Rd. (4x4-high clearance, snow), Glacier Rd.(Big Pine Canyon) to Glacier Lodge.

Road closed: Rock Creek Rd. at the Snow Park, Hwy 168 from Aspendell to Sabrina Lake, North Lake Rd., South Lake Road after Bishop Creek Lodge.

Campgrounds open: Bitterbrush (winter ops), Grandview (winter ops), Pleasant Valley (County), PV Pit (BLM), Baker Creek (County), Goodale (BLM), Taboose Creek (County), Tinnemaha Creek (County).

Campgrounds closed: Upper Grays Meadow, Onion Valley, Whitney Portal, Whitney Portal Group, Whitney Portal Trailhead Campground, Cottonwood Lakes, Cottonwood Pass, Horseshoe Meadows Equestrian, Kennedy Meadows.

The Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association is operating their bookstore at the Eastern Sierra Visitor Center in Lone Pine, Thursday through Monday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitor questions are being answered via phone, 760-876-6200, Monday- Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, closed federal holidays.

We are currently looking for a friendly, customer service focused Guest service agent, with a superb multi-tasking abilities.

As a Guest Service Agent, you will fill a pivotal role in ensuring guest satisfaction through check in, check out and attentive coordination of hotel services for each guest. You will be focused on optimizing each guest’s experience by promoting hotel services, facilities and outlets and providing information of upcoming events/functions in surrounding areas.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent English communication skills and be able to read, write and speak fluently. You will regularly use a computer and different software. This position requires continuous movement, and occasionally, you will have to lift or move up to 20 pounds.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
•----- Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, and coding electronic keys,
•----- Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment,
•----- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room categories, room rates, the local area and other general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries
•----- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy
•----- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
•---- Field guest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
•---- Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests

REQUIREMENTS:- At least 18yrs of age+- Physically able to perform housekeeping duties
Available to work weekends and holidays. Daytime Hrs. Wages depending on experience.
DUTIES: cleaning hotel guest rooms. Perform all job related duties assigned in a timely manner. Ensure that all guest rooms are clean and show the perfect presentation. Ensure all hall areas are clean and vacuumed.Ensure safety for our guest by keeping hall/walk areas clear.
