Scoop up a last minute weekend getaway! The barn at Green Gate Guesthouses is open for Memorial Day weekend and the week ahead 🌿✨
We’re putting in the garden, soaking up the long light, and welcoming summer’s start. Rarely available over a long weekend, it is actually open 5/22/26 to 5/29/26; a whole week! The weather forecast looks amazing, the campfire area is stocked with wood, and we’ve got marshmallow roasting sticks at the ready. Tillie the 12yo Green Gate ambassador will surely be by our side as the seeds get planted.

The Farmhouse is the heart of Green Gate: our original home, built in the 1890s and lived in as a true working farmhouse. Today, it’s been thoughtfully restored to honor its history while offering a deeply comfortable stay. Spring is technically here… but the land has its own timeline.
Snow still clings to the shady corners, the garden beds are sleeping under a white blanket, and the air has that mix of thaw & chill that only northern Minnesota understands. The day could equally bring rain, sun, snow, or wind and we are here for it all!

March gives way to crispy mornings and melty afternoons, warm sun, big snowflakes, and deliciously longer days. Shoulder season is around the corner, and in our opinion unifies the best parts of winter (lots of snow!) with the sweetness of spring (a braver sun) and we just love this time of year. Come on over and book a cozy stay!

March at Green Gate means longer days, warmer sunshine, and still all the snow you can imagine. Come north and play in the fresh powder! It’s truly our favorite time of the winter season.
