🤠 Meet the REAL Supervisors of Rock Springs RV Resort

We know everyone is getting excited for Rock Springs RV Resort to open… but apparently, our local supervisors wanted to make sure we were doing everything right first. 😂

🐴 The B***o Department has been conducting very thorough inspections of the surrounding desert.

🐄 The Cattle Division has been keeping a close eye on all of our progress.

And honestly… we're pretty sure neither department has approved the final plans yet. 😉

But these aren't just random visitors. They're part of the story of Black Canyon City.

Ranching has deep roots in this area. In the late 1800s, Jack and Trinidad Swilling established a ranch here, and the old Black Canyon route became an important path for miners, cattle drivers, sheepherders and travelers making their way between Phoenix and Prescott.

Cattle and sheep continued to be an important part of the region's history for generations. In fact, historic accounts describe huge sheep drives traveling through Black Canyon toward summer grazing lands.

And those wild burros you may spot around the area? They're another part of the modern-day desert landscape. B***os are not native to Arizona, and populations have spread across many parts of the state. Arizona Game & Fish notes that they can have significant impacts on desert vegetation and wildlife habitat, so if you see one, enjoy the view from a respectful distance—and please don't feed them.

So while we're busy getting Rock Springs RV Resort ready for you, we'll be taking direction from the locals who were here first. ❤️🌵

It’s official — the Rock Springs sign is up! 🙌

Last week marked another exciting milestone at Rock Springs RV Resort as our new roadside sign was lifted into place. Seeing our name standing tall against the Arizona sky makes everything happening here feel a little more real.

There’s still plenty of work happening behind the scenes, but each week brings us another step closer to welcoming our first guests. We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been building in Black Canyon City! 🌵☀️

The first of our glamping units have officially arrived at Rock Springs RV Resort! Watching them roll onto the property is an exciting milestone as the resort continues to come to life.
