Exciting new event this summer! On July 11th & 12th the town will be turned into the Blackwater Redemption Experience with reenactors, gun fights, vendors, live music, and much more! The town of Blackwater in the game Red Dead Redemption really was inspired by our little town! Fans of the game will especially enjoy this event, but it will be fun for the whole family even if you've never heard of the game. Get your tickets and start planning your costumes now!

We've been doing some spring refresh and are excited to show everyone the revamped parlor! There is a sitting area with books and games, dining tables for up to 20 people, and a kitchenette with all the essentials. Blackwater Christmas Market 2025 is tomorrow! Excited to shop with the vendors, get some tasty treats, try out craft making, and of course see Santa 🎅 We also have a new addition this year with the Lep Cookie Fest which will be 1:30-3:00 here at the Iron Horse. I don't know if my Lep cookies are the best, but we will find out soon! There will be cookies and drinks for sale if you would like to taste test this old Missouri tradition. Hope to see you in Blackwater tomorrow!

It's always nice to hear from happy guests! Love that she describes the hotel as 'charming, unique, historic and is a one-of-a-kind find' 🥰 Also glad to hear that they enjoyed other Blackwater businesses and met some locals while they were here!

A couple of years ago we had a film group stay to shoot a movie here at the hotel. I'm excited to say that we can all watch it now!!! Seeing our hotel and town in a movie is so cool! It is about a woman who moves to Blackwater, MO to open a hotel, and gets mixed up in solving a mystery about missing diamonds. I know I'm a little biased, but honestly this is worth a watch!
