Thanksgiving gave us precious time with both sides of our family and quiet, cozy moments at the Bungalow with just the six of us. We are grateful for Mark Danner, whose quiet dedication helps make the holidays in Blackwater extra special.

We also made lep cookies under the loving supervision of my grandmother. Standing in the kitchen with four generations was the sweetest blessing of all. Thanks to the Blackwater Preservation Society for preserving the rich history of lep cookies in the area, a cherished tradition brought by German immigrants long ago.
