Meet Steph, another smiling face behind the scenes at The Barn! She is a guest contributor who shares posts here from time to time. Beyond helping out with The Barn, Steph is my cousin, an absolute adventurer, owner of The CRIB, LLC, at Mt Ayr, and one of my biggest cheerleaders who loves our family fiercely. How special is this vintage map of Taylor County? It once hung in the Farmers Bank of Sheridan (Missouri). I remember visiting the bank with my parents and grandparents. If you’re an antique like me😉 you’re sure to spot some familiar names on the farms. I spy my great grandfather, James Melvin of Siam. The map now has a new home in our office area at The Barn.

She’s the one helping keep The Barn fresh, cozy, and guest-ready. She’s always willing to jump in and help wherever she’s needed—from cleaning and getting things ready for our guests to helping Lora with holiday decorating and all those special little touches that make The Barn feel like home.

We couldn’t do it without helpers like her, and we sure appreciate her! ❤️🌿🏡
