Special thanks to Hyvee for allowing the FOP 176 and other partners, volunteers, and helpers to assist in providing food baskets this year!

These food baskets were put together and distributed by many helping hands to families within our community!

The FOP 176 is very grateful for the relationships built over the years with the community and the many businesses we have a wonderful working relationship with. We look to continue building upon these relationships while making new ones along the way!

Since 2012, the McLean Co. Deputies have seen 23 voluntary departures and stand the risk of losing other qualified, trained, and seasoned professionals to comparative jurisdictions that offer more competitive pay, not to mention: more competitive pay ALONGSIDE incentive and benefit packages. Contact your McLean County Board members and tell them you’re in favor of a fair wage increase with this year’s contract negotiations to help retain “the best of the best” for your McLean County Deputies.

As we remember this day 20 years ago, we’re reminded of the hundreds of first responders who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to protect, rescue, and secure the well-being of others. May we never forget the brave heroes who ran toward disaster that day, as they’ve shaped the spirit we hold in our hearts for the work we do today.

Every three years, the McLean County Deputies have their contracts negotiated with the McLean County Board. This year in negotiations, the deputies asked for:
• A fair wage increase, competitive with comparable jurisdictions;
• Educational and physical fitness incentives to prioritize a well-educated and physically fit deputy department

While each of these requests is in-line with what comparable jurisdictions already offer, the McLean County Board continues to deny these requests during contract negotiations.

MCLEAN COUNTY RESIDENTS:
Now is the time to make your voice known. Your County Board members need to prioritize recruiting and sustaining high caliber deputies who are physically fit, well-educated, and experienced for the duty this role expects. These negotiations go much deeper than a lump sum on a paycheck: it's about valuing the sacrifices made and protection provided by McLean County Deputies to keep your family, community, and county safe. These negotiations are about the service YOU deserve as a McLean County resident. • A fair wage increase, competitive with comparable jurisdictions;
• Educational and physical fitness incentives to prioritize a well-educated and physically fit deputy department; and
• A lateral hire program that would allow us to recruit seasoned officers with a pay scale that honors their existing years of service.

While each of these requests is in-line with what comparable jurisdictions already offer, the McLean County Board continues to deny these requests during contract negotiations.

Could not be more proud!

After becoming aware of a woman in our community who had been scammed out of some repair work on her roof, several of our members took it upon themselves to patch up as much as they could before the rain did anymore damage today!

So much more than just a badge & making an impact that’s far beyond the call of duty. Well done men!
