Ransburg Scout Reservation is 624 acres of adventure, beautifully situated on Lake Monroe, the largest lake in the State of Indiana, and nestled in the Hoosier National Forest. Sailing, water skiing, horseback riding, ATV’s, Personal Watercraft activities, hiking, nature trails, returning back to enjoying time under the stars, and more await each Scout who spends a memorable week or more at Ransburg every summer.

There is something magical and undefinable about being a member of our camp staff. For 60 years, this camp has changed hundreds of thousand lives; including the over 2,000 staff members. The volume of impact is immense and enormous. The staff dedicate themselves, time and time again, to ensure that Ransburg is a beacon of Scouting Spirit, a place that every Scout becomes a better version of themselves, where failure is a starting point and not an ending, and where all are welcome. To all of the staff from 1966-2026: THANK YOU for making a difference. THANK YOU for devoting your time, energy, and enthusiasm to Scouts. THANK YOU for believing in our mission.

On this day in history... Sunday, June 26th, 1966, was the opening day of the first year of camp at Ransburg Scout Reservation. 60 years later, we are proud to be one of the best camps in the nation and thankful to all of you for your support and dedication, and here's to many more years to come!

Despite the severe weather and tornado warnings last evening, all Scouts, Scouters, and Staff are safe and now enjoying a beautiful morning of program activities.

Thank you US National Weather Service Indianapolis Indiana for your partnership with us. Their support allows the camp leadership team to safely and proactively initiate our camp’s extensive and immediate emergency procedures. A Scout is Prepared!
