Ransburg Scout Reservation is 624 acres of adventure, beautifully situated on Lake Monroe, the largest lake in the State of Indiana, and nestled in the Hoosier National Forest. Sailing, water skiing, horseback riding, ATV’s, Personal Watercraft activities, hiking, nature trails, returning back to enjoying time under the stars, and more await each Scout who spends a memorable week or more at Ransburg every summer.

Despite the severe weather and tornado warnings last evening, all Scouts, Scouters, and Staff are safe and now enjoying a beautiful morning of program activities.

On Monday, Crossroads of America Council was excited to welcome Governor Mike Braun to Ransburg Scout Reservation to see firsthand the incredible impact camp has on youth in Scouting. Governor Braun is both an Eagle Scout and the first sitting Governor of Indiana to visit Ransburg!

Despite the weather and the late night, the Scouts here at Ransburg are in high spirits in their severe weather refuges; singing, playing games, and even practicing their Scout skills!

Thanks to our partnership with the National Weather Service and the thoughtful advance planning of our team, we were able to move everyone to their designated severe weather refuge locations well ahead of the worst of the weather, and we will stay in these locations until the severe weather has passed.

2027 campsite reservations open on a rolling basis throughout the summer. Reservations for the current week open on Tuesday for those currently in camp (if reserving the same site), and 2027 reservations for the previous week open at 9 AM each Monday.

Ransburg is nationally accredited for summer 2026! We had a great visit today with the visiting assessment team from Anthony Wayne Area Council, enjoyed showing off the property and programs we are so proud of, and are ready to go full steam ahead for the rest of the summer!
