The Beaumont House has been repainted and decorated for fall! Also, we installed and caulked all of the storm windows and sealed all of the gaps around windows and doors (because the house is not square). Still to do . . . reattach the downspouts and paint the trim around the porch.

Visit Indiana. It is that time of year--pumpkin patches, hayrides, corn mazes. It seems that the leaves will change color over the next two weeks. The Beaumont House is situated in hilly southern Indiana between three beautiful state parks. As we say around here . . . there's more than corn in Indiana!

We’ve completed our c***r making for 2026 and have a few bushels of apples left in the driveway. Bring your own container. First come, first serve.

This weekend, the Beaumont House hosted 150 people (international students and volunteers) for a fall party with food, bonfire, apple pressing/c***r making, hayrides, and yard games.

This is the beast of a lift that Kyle has been using all week. He now has a full coat of primer and the first coat of paint on the house. He, too, has paint in his hair and every crease of his skin!

Painting the Beaumont House. We haven't made a lot of progress on this since the beginning of September, because we have just had too much going on. This week, we rented a lift to be able to work on the higher parts of the house, and we are taping all of the windows.

In need of half gallon and gallon milk jugs or plastic containers. It is apple c***r pressing time, and this weekend, we are hosting a big fall party for IU international students. They will get to experience a hayride, bonfire, and apple c***r making. However, we need containers to put the apple c***r into. If you have any empty containers lying around and are going to be driving by, please just drop them in the yard or by the driveway on your way by. Thank you!

We are in an extremely busy season through September and October, so I may not be posting as much.

--We have several full house rentals during football season, which means lots of deep cleaning.
--We want to do more work on the chapel patio before a wedding in October.
--We are slowly working on repainting the house in between everything else.
--My job is always demanding, but I also have two weeks of work travel coming up.

Visit Bloomington. Every year both the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra and the Bloomington Jazz Orchestra give free concerts in Switchyard Park. There are people spread out all over the lawn to hear the wonderful musicians who live in this small town. I love it!
