Skybridge at Howard K**b County Park
The Newly Renovated Howard K**b County Park, also known as Howard's K**b Park, reopened to the public last month. The park now features an accessible Sky Bridge that offers incredible views! If recommending the location to guests, make sure they use Cherry Drive (NOT Brookside Drive) to access the park.

Current Parkway Closure Update- Step 8A
*Step 8A of the work on the Blue Ridge Parkway is in progress. As before, important points of interest remain accessible from at least one direction.
*Access to the Parkway at Shull's Mill Rd is closed during this phase. Click on the map for Step 8A, and share the updates on BlowingRock.com for reference. Here's how to get to popular points on our local section of the Parkway:
*To get to Cone Manor, travelers should access the Parkway at Hwy 321 and turn south on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
To get to Price Lake, travelers should access the Parkway via Holloway Mountain Road and turn north.
*To get to Boone Fork Parking (access to backcountry trails in Grandfather Mountain State Park), Rough Ridge, and Linn Cove Viaduct parking area, travelers should access the Parkway via Holloway Mountain Road and turn south. The Linn Cove Viaduct itself is currently open.
*To get to Beacon Heights and Linville Falls, travelers should access the Blue Ridge Parkway at Hwy 221 near Grandfather Mountain, and turn south on the Parkway.
The most direct route to Grandfather Mountain is currently Hwy 221 south from Blowing Rock to the entrance of the attraction.
*Additionally, a closure is in place just north of the Deep Gap Bridge over 421 from MP 274.3 to MP 276.5. This does not impact travel along the Parkway from 421 to Blowing Rock, but access to EB Jeffress Park and the Cascades (milepost 272) will require using a detour.
