Looking through our archives, it is easy to see why the Manor House has anchored Chetola for so many generations.

Though the resort around it has expanded over the last 180 years, the classic architecture and quiet elegance of the original home remain intact.

Today, this home houses our historic Bob Timberlake rooms alongside Haven, our new dining space at Chetola Resort.

As we make thoughtful, modern updates to elevate your stay, protecting the historical integrity and warmth of this home remains at the forefront of everything we do. The past and present live side-by-side in every preserved detail, giving the house the same welcoming feel it has had for generations.

What is your favorite memory made along Chetola Lake?

Have you noticed our spa menu recently got an upgrade? Our spa team has been hard at work with refreshes around the spa, including a new and improved menu. Body rituals that bring mindfulness to the forefront allowing you to fully exhale and renew throughout your treatment.

Our personal favorite, the Chetola Azila massage. Using “Azila” the Cherokee word for fire, this full-body massage features warm herbal poultices filled with aromatic botanicals and healing herbs, helping to ease muscle tension, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and calm the nervous system.

Prefer a facial? Try the Earth & Essence Facial, designed to bring the skin back into balance and harmony using french clay and mild exfoliating acids to refine and detoxify then hydrate the skin.

With the launch of Haven — the new restaurant located at Chetola — the Culinary Team has advanced as a Finalist in the 2026 NCRLA Chef Showdown occurring next week!

After competitions in Raleigh and Charlotte, Haven earned a spot among just 20 finalists atop North Carolina’s culinary scene, a group that includes James Beard and Michelin recognized talent.
